In addition to low carbohydrate baking, almond flour is ideal for use in biscuits, pie crusts, cakes, cookies, pancakes and breads. Replacing approximately one third of regular all-purpose flour in your baking with almond flour can add great texture and flavour whilst reducing carbohydrate content, making it perfect for those following a low carbohydrate or paleo diet. Almond flour can be used in savoury dishes too I.e. in place of bread crumbs in meatballs, or as a coating for chicken and fish.
